APEC, just another secret meeting.

With the recent conclusion of the APEC meeting in Australia comes another round of "we care about the environment" lip service. The only news to come out of the APEC meeting was that the political leaders would work towards their aspirational goal.

While Kyoto has hard, legally binding targets that must be met by participating countries, such as Canada. The conclusion of the APEC group was that aspirational targets were more reasonable and easier to implement.

I'm sure they are. I aspire to be a published writer, some day. Until I make a commitment, it will not happen.

The real reason for the meeting was to strengthen North American and Asian business ties. No mention was made of the secret group of uranium mining and consuming countries. The countries, Canada, Australia and the United States have formed a group of controlling interests that mine, sell and consume uranium. This group will be able to control who gets uranium and just how much they will pay for it. These three countries control the majority of uranium produced and consumed in the world.

By the way, Canada is a member of the APEC group and a signatory of the Kyoto agreement.

No conflict of interest here!
