Rethinking old highways.

What is the end result of tearing down old highways that run through big cities?

It would appear that the waterfront is a nicer place to visit and that traffic actually flows better, not worse.

Treehugger has an article from a writer in Toronto that might surprise you.

They also list ten highways that don't have a future.

The Infrastructurist has an expanded article about highway removal.

Finally, a short message in favour of fewer highways and more public transit.

Respect and protect the environment.
